We are in love. Utterly in love with a little girl who is about to change our world. Friday morning was amazing. Watching our little girl move on the screen. Seeing her two little feet and two little arms move all over the place. Watching her little heart beat - it's just a miracle. Just when you thought your heart couldn't hold anymore love - a flood gate opens and makes room for more.
Baby M you have no idea how much you are already loved. Just so you know, your Daddy is already worried about you. His love for you has already consumed his thoughts. You're still growing big and strong in Mommy's belly and Daddy is already worried about you dating boys, and or boys just remotely showing an interest in you at all. He's worried that now he will have two women in his life that will "just want a bite" of his food. To be fair, once you get to know him, you'll understand that Daddy will always share anything of his with you. He just likes to complain and act like it upsets him - when really, we all know that he loves it. I think that anyone who knows your Daddy, already knows that you will be the center of his world.
You have two amazing sets of Grandparents who already love you too. Mimi and Papa Whitaker were here with us on Friday and got to see you too. Between your Daddy and your Mimi both videoing the entire ultrasound - I think that we may have overwhelmed the Dr. just a little. When we left, we instantly called your Grandma and Grandpa McCormack because we knew that they were waiting on pins and needles to hear how you were doing. I think Grandpa McCormack had already been shopping for you the night before - you'll learn all too soon that he is always on the go.
You are so very blessed to have Great Grandparents, a Great Great Aunt, a Great Great Uncle who all are thrilled about your impending arrival. Lil Nana and Pop cry tears of joy over you almost everytime we call them. And your Big Nana put in her request for you about 10 minutes after your Mommy and Daddy said "I do." So you can only imagine how excited she is to meet you. Nan was just certain that you were a boy, but is thrilled to add another Great Grand Baby to her crew. She told us that she's ready to go shopping for all things pink - and shopping is definitely her thing! Aunt Hazel already has your impending due date written down in her 2009 calender. She couldn't be more excited to meet you! Uncle Barney is excited to meet you too. His first reaction to news of you was "Mazel Tov!!" - and when you meet him and get to know him, those two words will instantly bring a smile to your face.
You also have Great Aunts and Great Uncles that are patiently awaiting your arrival. Your Aunt Sue and Barbara keep up with your blog on a regular basis. We can't wait to take you to visit them in Virginia Beach. Your Daddy and Aunt Sue will have you in the kayak and canoe in no time. Your Uncle Paul and Aunt Debbie are excited to meet you too. We've already spent many Christmas' in their home and can't wait for you to be a part of those special times.
You have Aunts and Uncles that are all excited to meet you. Some of them were even texting us while we were in the Dr.'s office - anxiously awaiting news about you. Your Aunts are all very independent women little one - but you'll find that their love is just as fierce as their spunk. Your Uncles are all fun-loving. Their is never a dull moment in their presence and I'm quite certain that they will bring many smiles to your little face. You already have three of the cutest little cousins to play with - Briaunna, Jason and baby Justice. They are all such great kids - we can't wait for you to meet them.
Mommy is excited to meet you too. I actually can't even fathom getting to meet you and holding you in my arms - it's too exciting to wrap my thoughts around. My heart is already full just having you with me, knowing that you are safe and sound. Like Daddy, you consume my thoughts already too. And that means that Mommy sometimes worries too. I think like all Mommies I want to make sure that we are the best parents that we can be. That we teach you all the important things in life. I hope that we are able to teach you right from wrong and that we are able to give you the best foundation we possibly can so that you grow up to be an amazing person full of life and love. But what I don't worry about, is how much we love you. Daddy and me and everyone else around us.
It was so exciting getting to "meet" you little one - even if it was through the Dr.'s TV screen. I can't wait until we meet in person, we're counting down the days. I just hope that you are ready to meet all of us. You are coming into a big family little one - one that already loves you so much. Especially Daddy and I - and we plan on loving you forever.
