Nursery Updates....

So Mike completely surprised me over Christmas by having one of our friends, David, come over while we were gone and build book shelves over Madeline's changing table. It is awesome! It's exactly what I wanted! I can't believe that Mike was able to keep it a secret and that I had no clue about what he was up to.

Isn't it awesome?:

And here it is after Dad did some decorating:
It was by far my favorite Christmas gift ever. He did an awesome job surprising me.

When my parents came to visit back in October, they went with us to look for Madeline's crib. We couldn't find anything that we liked in the stores, but my Dad got online when we got home and found exactly what we were looking for. They ordered the crib as a gift for Madeline, but it's taken two months to come in. It actually arrived before we left for Christmas. We picked it up on a Friday night and Mike set it up as soon as we got home. We went this Sunday and bought the crib mattress and came home and set-up the bedding.

Here's Madeline's Crib:

Here's a look inside at the bedding & a new stuffed animal courtesy of Grandma & Grandpa McCormack:

This was Mike's rocking horse when he was a baby. It was made by a close family friend George Kutz, who was there for our wedding and is now a good friend of ours. It's now being passed down to Maddie:

And here is a photo of Maddie's Big Sister checking out the new nursery.

I promise she is excited, maybe a little bit in denial about all of this, but definitely excited. Can't you tell?
