We are in love!

It is amazing how quickly our lives are already changing. Aside from the obvious changes, no more wine while cooking, no more wine during dinner, no more wine instead of dessert, no more - well you get the idea - there are some other changes as well. We are now lifetime subscribers to Consumer Reports, and Mike's Maxim magazines that typically reside in the bathroom have been replaced by a big thick book entitled "Baby Bargains." Mike has become very serious about safety ratings and Consumer Reports' opinion on everything that we own and everything we plan to purchase in the very near future, or better yet forever! To get out of the house, we used go grab drinks and appetizers at the newest restaurant in town. Now we sometimes wonder aimlessly through Babies-R-Us completely overwhelmed by all of the "things" a baby needs and how many options and brands there are to choose from. We inevitably end up on the stroller aisle, testing out strollers, borrowing babies to go for "test-rides," comparing features - all the while making notes. Then we come home and consult our safety sources and parent ratings. One by one we have managed to weed out all of the major brands - I won't bother you with the reasons why. But we were really stuck on what stroller to get. I'm sure you think we're crazy at this point. Or maybe a tad bit too picky. But trust me, spend some time in Babies R Us one Saturday - borrow a child and push them around for a few minutes in a couple different set of wheels, try folding those suckers up and picking them up by yourself - you'll understand our craziness pretty quickly! They can be hard to maneuver and heavy as lead! Plus, they take up sooo much room in your car - it's ridiculous.

Dim the lights, que the light shining down through the clouds and the sound of angels singing. Enter in the Baby Jogger City Mini - the answer to our search. On one of the many baby websites I frequent, there were several stroller suggestions given by tried and true Moms. One of them highly suggested the Baby Jogger City Mini. Her reviews said it was lightweight - 17 lbs, maneuvered on a dime, and folded-up by pulling on one strap - so simple you can fold while still holding the baby.

So here she is, in her full glory...

And here she is in our soon to be "nursery":

Isn't she just dreamy? We searched for a baby store that we could "test drive" her - but no one around us keeps these in stock. So we decided to order one online to see if it was as great as we thought. And it is! We are in love and have decided to keep her! We even tested this one out on our Godsons - Matthew and Ethan. And then we took her for a evening stroll with our friends Matt and Christina's little girl Kylie. All three of our pint-size testers gave her a thumb's up. The parents all liked it too. So what can we say - it's our first major baby purchase and we're really happy about it.
