Madeline's Nursery

We are officially finished with Miss Madeline's nursery! And we finished just in time! Laura, our photographer, arrived today just as we were hanging some last minute items. We took a ton of photos and Annie more than cooperated, she really put on a show. She was all about being in the photos - which is really odd. She normally wants nothing to do with being in front of the camera. Anyway - more on the photo session later this week. For now, here's a look at Miss Madeline's nursery:

This is the iron bed that my parents had re-finished for us. It will be a place for guests to stay and a place for Mommy and Daddy to rest during those late night feedings.

A view of the changing area.

Where Daddy & others will be changing stinky diapers : )

Madeline's coming home outfit.

And just because, the cutest little shoes and mittens (courtesy of Mimi Whitaker), which are a part of little Madeline's coming home outfit.

Maddie's rocking horse, passed down from her Daddy.

Black & white photos we hung over Maddie's dresser.

Photo #1 - Mike when he was little.

Photo#2: This is just a placeholder for now. Madeline's picture will go here.

Photo #3: Photo of Mommy when she was little.

Madeline's crib with the quote we picked out above it.

An up close shot of the wall quote. It reads "The nearest thing from heaven, You're an angel from above, only God creates such perfect love, Who could ever love you more?"

We are so happy with the way it all turned out. Mike is a little sick of all of the pink at this point, but he's dealing with it. Now the only thing missing is the little girl who has captured our hearts to fill this room with love and laughter. We can't wait to bring her home.
